The highest authority of the Muslims is the Qur’aan. But to use it as a proof that contradicts the Christian belief, no doubt the Christian world will reject it twice before we open the verse. To make the discussions more interesting, allow me to use the Bible to prove my argument, that Jesus Christ (pbuh) did not die nor he was resurrected.
DID JESUS CHRIST SAY: I DIED AND WAS RESURRECTED?
If we talk about death and resurrection concerning Jesus Christ (pbuh) he has more authority than the billions of Christians. Simple question, did Jesus Christ (pbuh) say; “I died and was resurrected?” In the four CANONICAL GOSPELS, namely; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible, there is no single categorical statement of Jesus Christ (pbuh) that he died and was resurrected.
THE SIGN OF JESUS CHRIST (PBUH)
Let us examine the word of Jesus Christ (pbuh): “… A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Matthew 12:38-40, (NIV-COPYRIGHT 1978).
The people on board the ship were thinking that Jonah (pbuh) had died. What do you think when a person is thrown into a raging sea, without lifejacket? If Jonah (pbuh) died after he was thrown into a raging sea, there is no miracle! Likewise, if a person is sentenced to die before a firing squad, then if after firing, he died, what is the miracle then? But if after firing, he remains standing and without scratches on his body, that is a miracle! It is a miracle indeed when you expect a person to die, but later you see him alive eating peanuts and kicking.
WAS JESUS CHRIST (PBUH) LIKE JONAH (PBUH)?
So the example of Jesus Christ (pbuh) was like the example of Jonah (pbuh). The Bible mentioned, “three days, and three nights in the belly of the huge fish (Whale), so shall be the son of man, shall be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” I am asking only the Christians (not the Jews because the Jews never believed the signs or the miracles of Jesus Christ (pbuh) was Jesus Christ like Jonah or unlike? Was Jesus Christ (pbuh) three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, alive or dead? Was Jonah (pbuh), three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish (Whale) alive or dead? According to Christendom Jesus Christ (pbuh) was dead for three days and three nights in the heart of the earth: while Jonah (pbuh) was alive for three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish. Who is telling falsehood, Jesus Christ (pbuh) or the billions of Christians? Pursuant to Jesus Christ’s (pbuh) prophecy, “THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS” was it true or not?
IF HE WAS BURIED;
1) FRIDAY NIGHT
IN T HE TOMB
2) SATURDAY NIGHT
IN THE TOMB
3) SUNDAY NIGHT
EMPTY
1) FRIDAY DAY
P.M. IN THE TOMB
2) SATURDAY DAY
IN THE TOMB
3) SUNDAY DAY
EMPTY
Based on the actual happening, what Jesus Christ (pbuh) had prophesied became unfulfilled prophecy. It was only “TWO DAYS AND TWO NIGHTS” contrary to what Jesus Christ (pbuh) had said.
A RESURRECTED BODY SHALL HAVE NO FLESH AND BONES
“… Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you’ (ASSALAMU ALAIKOM). They were startled and frightened, thinking that they saw a ghost... Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.’ ”Luke 24:36-39-NIV. “…and in the resurrection from the dead …they can no longer die; for they are like the angels.:” Luke 20:35,36-NIV. In brief, the Bible teaches that when a person dies and will be resurrected, he shall turn into angel, spirit, or a ghost. In the New International Version, Luke 24:36-39 a resurrected body is a “ghost” while in the King James Version it is a “spirit.” “So also is the resurrection of the dead… It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.” 1Corinthians 15:42-44.
The point, I wanted to raise is that if Jesus Christ (pbuh) was resurrected then he must be a spirit. But he was not a spirit, according to himself (Luke 24:36-39). It proves my argument that Jesus Christ (pbuh) was not resurrected. So if he was not resurrected he did not die either! People who crucified him were thinking; that he was a person who claimed to be; Christ, Jesus, prophet, savior, son of God, king of Israel, and God (that is what his enemies were thinking: John 10:33). Very impossible that not one of those thoughts is correct! Why, at the last moment, he did say; “…FORGIVE THEM; FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO…” Luke 23:34 KJV. These words would have weight only if he was not Jesus Christ (pbuh) being crucified. Those verses in the Bible support the verse in the Qur’aan which says;
“That they said (in boast) "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary the Apostle of Allah"; but they killed him not nor crucified him but so it was made to appear to them and those who differ therein are full of doubts with no (certain) knowledge but only conjecture to follow for of a surety they killed him not.” Qur’aan (An-Nisaa) 4:157.
“LONDON: In the poll of England’s 15 bishops said miracles in the New Testament were later additions to the story of Jesus Christ”—.“DAILY NEWS”, JUNE 25, 1984. Professor David Jenkins who has been appointed the next bishop in Durham categorically said; ‘THERE IS NO HISTORICAL PROOF FOR CHRIST’S RESURRECTION’.—NEWSWEEK”, JUNE 17, 1985 (UNDER THE ARTICLE “RELIGION”. Another great personality who did not believe the “RESURRECTION” of Jesus Christ (pbuh); former Reverend David Benjamin Keldani, B. D. a Roman Catholic Priest: Former Bishop of Uramiah, Italy. Later, he wrote a book: “MUHAMMAD IN THE BIBLE”. He became Muslim after extensive research on Islam. Alhamdulillaah!
